HomesteadiQ Terms and Conditions
HomesteadiQ LLC, 5160 Parkstone Dr Ste 135, Chantilly, VA 20151
1. Agreement. By placing an order on homesteadiqmailboxes.com and checking the box to accept these Terms, you ("Customer") agree to these Terms with HomesteadiQ LLC ("HomesteadiQ," "we," "us").
2. Our Service. HomesteadiQ provides full service mailbox installation. You pick your mailbox, and you don't pay until it's installed. We handle everything else: confirming your order, obtaining HOA approval where needed, ordering materials, scheduling a Miss Utility locate, installing your mailbox and post, and hauling away your old mailbox and post.
3. Orders and Confirmation Call. Submitting an order online is a request, not a final purchase. After you submit, we'll contact you for a confirmation call to review your mailbox, post, personalization details, and placement. We document everything you confirm, and no materials are ordered until your order is confirmed.
4. HOA Approval. If your property is part of a homeowners association, we obtain HOA approval as part of our service before any materials are ordered. If your HOA does not approve your selection, you may choose a different mailbox or cancel your order at no cost.
5. Cancellation. You may cancel your order at no cost at any time before materials are ordered.
6. Custom and Personalized Orders. Most mailboxes are made or personalized to order. Once materials have been ordered based on your confirmed order, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded, and we will not replace a mailbox that matches what you confirmed. If an error is caused by HomesteadiQ or our team, such as incorrect personalization, we will correct or replace it at our cost.
7. Pricing. Package prices are all inclusive: mailbox, post, materials, installation, and taxes. Prices change only if you add personalization options. Our standard service area is within 25 miles of our base. For addresses beyond 25 miles, a travel fee of $0.76 per mile applies to each mile beyond the service radius, and we will tell you the amount before your order is confirmed.
8. Payment. No payment is due up front. After installation is complete, we will send you an invoice, which accepts most common payment methods. Payment in full is due within 7 days of installation. HomesteadiQ may pursue unpaid balances through collection.
9. Scheduling and Installation Day. You do not need to be home for your installation. Installation dates depend on material delivery, the Miss Utility locate, and HOA approval where needed. If the installation area is blocked on the scheduled day, such as by a parked vehicle, or if weather or conditions make installation unsafe, such as storms, lightning, or frozen ground, we will reschedule for the next available date and let you know.
10. Underground Utilities and Private Lines. Before digging, we request a Miss Utility locate, which marks public utility lines only. Private lines are not marked, including invisible pet fences, sprinkler and irrigation lines, landscape lighting, and private electrical or gas lines. Please tell us about any private lines near the installation spot before your installation. HomesteadiQ is not responsible for damage to private lines that are unmarked and that you did not tell us about.
11. Placement Standards. We install to USPS and VDOT placement standards and to HOA requirements where they apply.
12. Old Mailbox Removal. We remove and haul away your existing mailbox and post at no additional charge. Let us know before installation if you want to keep anything.
13. Workmanship Warranty. We warranty our installation for one year from the installation date. If there is a problem with our workmanship, such as a leaning post, crooked numbers, or a loose mailbox, we will fix it at no charge. This warranty does not cover damage that happens after installation, including damage from vehicles, weather, vandalism, misuse, or normal wear. Products are covered by their manufacturer's warranty where one applies.
14. Limitation of Liability. To the extent permitted by law, HomesteadiQ's total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, except where caused by our negligence.
15. Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
16. Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place your order applies to that order.
